THE VISION

Strong Tower Ministries - Its name and purpose is founded upon Proverbs 18:10 “The Name of the Lord is a Strong Tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe.”

There are three areas in which the ministry will be based:   

His Name (Word)

His People 

His Place

1.  God’s Name

Many names are given to identify and describe God.   His personality, His character and what He is to the believer can be found in his name.   In order to understand who God is, we must have a clear understanding of what God’s Word says about Him and about us as Christians. We can only know that through His word.  

The Word of God, the bible, is the central focus of the ministry.  Everything we do as a ministry has to be in accordance with God’s Word.  God’s Word is the final authority.

2.  God’s People / The Righteous

Righteous is defined - Just, straight, upright and holy.   Strong Tower Ministries’ purpose for the people of God is to equip them for success in accordance with Ephesians 4:11-12 and 3 John1:2.

Spiritually - The five-fold ministry will equip us in our knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.  It will help in cultivating the spiritual and natural gifts given to the body.

Naturally - Strong Tower Ministries is to be a ministry that gives balance to the life of the believer.  It is a ministry that will minister also to the natural body and health of the believer.  Activities, classes and outings will be incorporated into the ministry to provide opportunity for the physical well being of the believer.

Financially - The church is to be financially self sufficient and so should God’s people.  Proverbs 22:7 “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”   Proper understanding of stewardship and finances will be provided to help the membership to be successful in the area of finance.

3.  God’s Place

The house of God, in which we gather to worship, is to be for the believer a place of refuge.  The believer will be instructed, corrected and admonished but also loved, nourished and encouraged.

The music at the times of gathering must reflect and represent the God in whom we serve.  Praise and worship is a time of ministering unto God and must be accurately presented as such through music and songs.

The finances: Acts 4:34-35 is a model of the New Testament church and how it redistributed the income of church funds, that there would be no lack in the body.  There will be ministry in place to receive finances of the body, with portions being redistributed to those in need.  This will take place within the fellowship.  As God leads us we will also contribute to the needs of other congregations in accordance with 2 Corinthians 9:10-14.

Strong Tower Ministries is committed to restoring and strengthening families. 

Evangelism - The winning of souls to the body and restoring of backsliders is a must for any church.  Strong Tower Ministries is dedicated to evangelism and there will be an ongoing effort to reach out to the unsaved through evangelistic ministry.
